William Temple Franklin to William Robeson (unpublished)
Passy Dec 2. 1781
Dear Sir,

I received the Letter you did me the honor of writing to me the 8th. of last month: I should sooner have acknowledged it but I delay’d doing it in Expectation of receiving the Bill you promised to send me by the following Post, for the Amt. of my advances on your Acct. Not having yet recd. it, I think it neccessary to inform you thereof in Case you should have sent it; & if not, to let you know that I am in immediate Want of that Sum & beg you would loose no time in remitting it to me.

I am, Dear Sir with sincere Esteem &c
