My Dear Boy

as I have a Relation going to Paris I cou’d not but take hold of the Oppertunity to lett you know the two Old women are alive & pretty well as can be expected at their Age wou’d be glad to here of your Wellfear & as there is a Peace hope to receive that pleasure of a line from you soon Mrs Stevenson being Dead I know Nothing of Mrs Hewsons family poor Sam Johnson was lost in the Villa Du Paris which is a great trouble to his Mother as she had fix her hopes on him to be her support in her Old Age & a good Child he was I dont think the poor Woman will ever gett over the shock for she has never been herself since & looks sadly. wou’d you think it Our Cooper has quite forgot his Grandmama for he never take the least notice of her nor ever write to me nor do I to him I hear he is not Maried but lives at large on the Common I am sorry for the lad Now Sir I heard you was going into that happy State to the youngest Miss Alexander and I wish’t might be so as I am sure it wou’d be agreeable to the Doct & know your so sinsable of his friend[ship] [illegible] that you’ll do nothing but what he approuves we hope he enjoys his health & we do send our Best Respect to him the Governer is in England & I hear is well as he visits a Lady I am acquainted with. I have nothing more to add but to lett you know how much my sister & self [illegible] & regard & believe me my Dear Boy your Sincere friend
