We hear that a Subscription is on foot for the Encouragement of Mr. John Bertram, Botanist, to travel thro’ the Province of NewYork, Pensylvania, New-Jersey and Maryland, in Search of curious Vegetables, Fossils, &c. of all kinds; which ’tis hop’d will meet with Success, he being a Person exceedingly well qualified, for such an Employment. A more particular Account of the Design will be given in our next.
