The Gentleman, who will hand this Letter to your Excellency, is Monsr. de Warville, already known to you by his writings, and perhaps in his person. His friendship to the United States, particularly manifested by a judicious work of his lately published, shewing the practicability of an extensive Commerce between France and them, and the reciprocal advantages that would result from it, intitle him to the friendship and regard of every American Patriot. I beg leave to introduce him to you, together with his fellow-traveller Col. de la Terriere.
