From John Sullivan (unpublished)
Durham March 27th 1787
Sir

I am honored with your Excellenceys favour of the 6th Instant and am sorry that in my former Letter I did not give a more particular description of the Action against which this state so Loudly complains. I applied to Joshua Wentworth Esqr one of the Defendants in the Action and whose vessel was attached. He has furnished me with the enclosed memorandum which I do myself the honor to inclose to Your Excelly and beg to know the result of your Legislature as soon as convenient. With the highest respects I have the honour to be sir your excellenceys most obedient and very humble servant

Jno. Sullivan
