Dear and honoured sir.

I asked the Liberty of Mrs. Hewsons half sheet to assure of my Affectionate Duty and to return you my sincere Thanks for the many marks of Friendship I have experienced from you during the last 8 Years I have been in France—Please to give my Love to Billy, I have a Waistcoat of his which one of my sisters worked for him, it got mixed with my Things unperceived ’till it was too late, if I have a good opportunity I will send it to him, I hope his Fever is much mended if not intirely gone I am as ever most dutifully and affectionately Yours
