Sir,

Immediately on receiving the Letter your Excellency did me the honour of writing to me the 1st Inst. I communicated it to the Council, and it was sent down recommended to the Assembly. They took it into Consideration, and yesterday pass’d a Bill appointing seven Commissioners to meet yours in May next for the purpose mentioned in your Act of Nov. 23. They are Messrs. Thos. Mifflin, Robt Morris, Geo. Clymer, Thos. Fitzsimons, James Wilson, Gouvenier Morris, and Jared Ingersol. Wishing all Success to your Deliberations on this very inportant Business, I have the honour to be, Sir, Your Excellency’s most obedient and most humble Servant
