Henri-Maximilien Grand to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
June the 22d. 1784
My dear Sir

I think myself short of an answer of yours, but your being busy, my being unemployed make all these little things stand to reason. I hope however all your things are safe arrived.

Mrs. Montgomery tells me you have had a return of your Ebolution, or rush. If you allow me to say one word on the Subject I shall speak highly of the Cold Baths, which I often make use of myself.

My dear Sir please to send me or rather buy me & send to my Brother’s with request to forward it to me, three of the prettiest bordered Hankerchiefs, such as young Vernet use to ware for Waistcoats that are to be had au Passage du saumon.

I make no doubt but you will easily find out a method to prevent their being tumbled & loosing their fraicheur before they reach me.

Pray have you been very happy with the King of Sweden’s Balls & Feasts. do tell me something on the subject.

Adieu my dear sir My duty to your Grand Papa & believe me to be Your most obedt. humble servt.

Henry Grand
