Jonathan Williams, Jr. to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
St Germain 20he. 1784
Dear Billy.

my Brother in Law has desired me to inform him of the best Pension or College for two young english Lads of 13 & 14 Years of age in or near Paris—the object is to acquire the Language & the Classics, They will have a Tutor with them. I have applied to the Abbé de la Roche who refers me to the Pensions at Passy.—Pray where was munro Educated? or was he wholly with Mr. Jay? Pray help me out to give a satisfactory answer to my Brother. My Leg grows better but I cannot yet bear the weight of an ounce upon it.— I am Yours affy.
