George Morgan to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Prospect April 7th 1786
Dear Sir

I hope you will excuse my not having called upon you when I was in Town, & impute it only to the Attention I found necessary to pay to my little Girl, who I brought home with me, & to the Necessity of my immediate Return. I wished much to pay my respectful Compliments to your Grand Father, but was under the necessity of referring it to another Opportunity—

You were so good as to say you would procure for me as much of the Iron Wire as would make my electrical Rods, which I must now trouble you to do—And if the Gentlemen will not break a Bale, I will take a whole one, & sell what I do not want, if you will be so good as to order it on board of Ct. Clunns Shallop going to Trenton—If Mr. Beache will break the Bale, the Quantity I want will be 200 Feet—On Receipt of the Bill & wire I will remit you or them the Money—So soon as I hear you are well settled at your Farm I shall come myself to see you or send my Son to take a few Lessons—

I remain with great Regard Dear Sir Your most Obt. hum Servt
