Certificate for William Jackson (unpublished)

I do hereby certify whom it may concern, That the abovewritten W. Jackson is an Officer in the Service of the United States, who came hither as Secretary to the honble. Coll. John Laurens, a Minister of the said States to the Court of France on a special Occasion; that being desired by me to certify what he knew of the Death of Mr de St. Pierre, for the Satisfaction of the Family, he the said Mr Jackson wrote and signed in my Presence the above Certificate: He is a Person of Character for Honour and Integrity, and well-deserving Credit. Given at Passy, this 28th. Day of June 1781.
