Having received undoubted information from the County of Luzerne, in our state, that Timothy Pickering, Esq., the Prothonotary, was in the night of the 26th ultimo Violently taken out of his house by persons unknown, being painted like Indians, and as they will probably elude the pursuit of a part of the inhabitants by passing into your State, we request your Excellency’s aid and authority may be interposed for apprehending and bringing the Villains to justice.
