Philadelphia 27th. May 1783
Dear Sir

I shall be glad this find you well.—And the Blessing of Peace being happily Restored to this Country. I flatter my Self with the pleasure of Seeing one good old, friend and You in Philadelphia once more,—

This will be handed to you by Mr. Waring of the State of So. Carolina, a friend of mine and a Gentleman of a very Genteel fortune and good connections in Carolina—He has been here sometime at his Studys & goes to Europe on purpose to compleate his Education—I beg leave therefore to introduce him to your acquaintance & Notice.—

Your attention to many of your Country Gentlemen Render it unnecessary for me to say anything in favour of Mr. Waring. Especially, as I flatter my self you will soon discover him to be deserving of it.—

Please introduce him to my friend Your Grand. that he may be so obliging to show this Gentleman something of the most intertaining & agreeable to Strangers in Paris—Accept of my best & Warmest Wishes. & believe me very truly Dear sir Your friend & obedt. Servant
