My dear Temple,

In consequence of your obliging offer, last Evening, I send you a small packet for l’Orient. As it contains letters for America, I must beg you to direct the Postage to be paid here. I have taken the Liberty to request Mr. Cummings, to address, all Letters for me, to the care of your Grandfather; as this may be an improper freedom, I must beg to be informed, that I may alter the direction by the first opportunity.
