Jonathan Williams, Jr. to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Nantes March 23. 1780.
My dear Billy

I have recd your kind Favours and will take care to execute Mrs Baches Order. Inclosed is a Bond for a Commission which I beg you to return me as soon as possible, don’t forget it my dear Friend as you did Boardmans for I am much interested in it, insert in the Commission “owned by A J Dorman and fitted in Spain under the auspices of the french Consul at Vigo.”—If there is any irregularity in the Bond don’t let that delay the Commission but send down a proper one & I will return it signed.—

You think me I dare say a troublesome Correspondent but I have to oblige my Friend & therefore put you in mind about the Letters for my Grandfaher Mr Wilkison which you promised to procure for me.—

I have written fully to Mr de Chaument and I hope he will not only be convinced that I am not to blame but also that his Reproaches are injurious.— I am ever most affctionately Yours.
