Princeton August 1st 1788
Worthy Sir,

As Mr. Morgan has been gone six Months and I have not been able to pay my Accompts at Princeton I take the Liberty to ask you, as you are a great Friend of my Mother’s, and beg leave that you would assist me in the following Articles.

“Vizt. Money to pay my Account and Expences
Five pairs of Shoes.
A Watch.
A Gun and Powder and Shot.
A Piece of Irish Linnen for Shirts and Cravat.

Sir, If you will furnish me with these Articles as I have but one more Year to remain at Nassau Hall, I will either pay you again in Money or if you please you may have Land; which the Congress have preserve for me and You will oblige yours &c
