William Temple Franklin to Winslow Warren (unpublished)
Passy 13 Augt: 1781
Dear Sir,

On my return from Paris this Evening I found here Mr: Grand, who repaid me the fifteen Louis I had the pleasure of lending you on the 17th. past. I likewise recd. the Letter you did me the honour of writing to me this morning, requesting a new Loan of one hundred Pounds. I regret exceedingly that the State of my Finances do not permit me to give you this additional Proof of my Regard for you.
