Dear Sir,

I am just now favord with your letter of the 26th. last month by the person who Conducted the Money hither, which has Come safe, and will be shipped in the Morning—Captain Barney is in all other respects ready to sail—

I return you the Copy of Your letter of the 25th. past, the day I received the original I wrote to Bordeaux, Nantes, Rochelle and Rochfort, and will take all the necessary steps to Collect the British Prisoners—You have not inform’d me what is to be done with the Americans when they arrive. I am of opinion it will be proper to send them to America in a Cartel.

There are about Eight hundred Bales of the public goods shipped from hence and from Nantes, all in good well arm’d ships—I am proceding to load, and will push them out by all good Conveyances.

I have a person Now at Rochfort, Examining the State of those that are there, and who will Endeavour to have them Transported hither. I sincerely wish you health and happiness, and assure you of My being My Dear Sir Sincerely Your affect. Huml. Sert.
