The Humble Case and petition of James Walsh who has Been an American Prisoner Since the 4th Day of April 81 until By the assistance of the almighty and the providence of God He Escapeed from the hands of his Enimies and arrived hear the 11th of this Month, wheare he Made aplication to our agent, who told me to Do for himself, and Haveing No redress nor recourse in the World But By aplying and adessing and laying his grivances Before your Excellency, Moast humblely Imploareing his present Case and Extremity to Be Considerd. petitioner is Maried in Bedford County town, and Has Been to times out this war a gainst the Indians, with Collonells Gebson and Broadhead and twic with Captn. Brady. He was also Cast a way in the general green priveteteer. and after Said with Captn. Thos. Bell in the Luzerne from phillidelphia to Leorint was taken of the western Islalands By the Interprise privetetear and sent on Board the Dunkirk Guard ship at plymouth, wheare 4 more     and petitioner Cut the jolly Boat, and out of the slings and Cut a sloop out at Coasten Bay got taken a gain and put in Irons for 3 months then Sent to Mill prison, wheare poor petitioner took a sevare fit of Sickness that Like to Cost him his life. Your Excellencys. petitioner moast Humblely Hopes that he will pardoned for his Long epistle and boldness in prosuming to write to your Excellency But Nessitity has no Law and Poor petitioner Moast Humblely Imploars your Excellency for relief and will as In Duty Bound for Ever Pray
