Benjamin Vaughan to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Jeffries Square Septr. 9th:, 1784.
My dear sir,

Mrs. Vaughan will be in town to day, & you must dine with me at my own house, in Jeffries Square, this day at 4 o’clock precisely. I request that you will kindly prevail on your father to oblige me with his company to dinner this day, notwithstanding I have not formally been introduced to him, nor paid him a visit. I shall depend on your not disappointing me in either of these favors. Two of your company will dine with me after your visits in Westminster are over. Yours ever affec. & faithfully
