Know all men by these presents, that We                            are held and firmly bound to           Esquire, treasurer of the United States of America, in the penalty of Twenty Thousand Spanish Milled Dollars, or other money equivalent thereto, to be paid to the said               treasurer, as aforesaid, or to his successors in that office. To which payment well and truly to be made and done, We bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
