Je vous souhaite une bonne & hereux année.—I thank you for your Trouble about my Horse, it is the first animal of the kind that I ever owned & I think the Success of my Speculation will not incline me to become a Jockey. I think however he is well sold for he would soon have eaten himself out.—I have written to the Doctor to day & found by a Mr [Montory?] some patterns which I beg your attention in showing to the Doctor, pray keep my Letter on the Subject to show at the same time else perhaps he may forget the price when he looks at the Patterns. If our poor Soldiers could get such a Supply of Shirts they would have a “very good content of themselves” & of me too.—
Adieu mes dames se portent bien & vous souhaite le bonne année.—
I am ever yours most affectionately
