Sir,

I had the honor to inform your Honorable Board by my letter of the 3d Decr last that I had complied with their order of the 17th November preceding respecting John Skinners contract in part by giving him my note in favor of Israel Wheelin for £55. 11s. 10d. specie. This note became due the 12th. Instant. and I have discharged the same by the sale of £79. 8s. 7d. paper money, for which last sum I request an order may be drawn by your Honorable Board in favor of said John Skinner in part of said Contract. I have inclosed that note and also the broken bill of the sale of the paper Money at 30 per Cent discount. I am with great respect Sir your Excellencys Most Obedient servant
