Dear Sir,

The Count de Barbanson, a Gentleman of the first Rank and Merit in this Country, who employs most of his Time in Cultivation, has requested me to procure for him from America, three Cases of Seed, such as used formerly to be sent to England: (they contain’d all the different sorts natural to America.)—In order to fulfill this Commission, which I very much wish to do, I know no other way than by addressing myself to you, which I take the Liberty of doing, requesting you would procure the sd. 3 Cases & send them by three different Vessels, directing the Captains to deposit them with some Mercht. in the Port they arrive at, giving me Advice thereof.—On the receipt of which I shall immediately send down Orders for their being forward’d to the Place of their Destination.—

Your readily & speedily complying with this my Request, will be an Additional Favour conferrd on, Dear Sir, &ca.— Let me know the Expence you are at in executing the above & I will either return the Money, or make Purchases for you here as you may direct

p.s. If Mr: Bartram jr. or any other Batanist, would enter into the Commerce of Seeds, I could easily find them a Correspondent here of the Same Profession.—
