Harrison were yesterday at Versailles where they deliver’d their letter & his Excellency Doctr Franklins pasport to the Count de Vergennes who ordered Monr. Dureval un de ses secretaires to make out our pasport imediately, but it being past 2 o.Clock & all the bureau’s being closed Monr. Dureval assured us he wou’d send our pasport to Doctr. Franklins this morning—When it arrives, if You will have the goodness to give it to the bearer who is directed to attend its receipt untill nine o.Clock tonight—You will add one favour to that long catalogue of services & which render me so sincerely your obliged friend—& very Humble Sert.
