Since the unhappy Surrender of Lord Cornwallis every Person is anxious to get his Property remitted to Great Britain, A Friend of mine, Isaac Bonnel, Esq. formerly High Sheriff at Amboy, having no acquaintance in England, has requested me to get you to receive their Money for the four enclosed Bills of Exchange, amounting to 1999:7.5 Sterling, and lodge it in the Funds in his Name, in such Manner as you may think will be most for his Advantage. You to receive the Interest from Time as it may become due, and to let it lay in your Hands until he may draw for it, or otherwise direct.
