Dear Son,

Mr. Childs has sent me a Note of Mr. Kollock’s, I do not see to what purpose as Mr. Kollock lives in New York. I send it to you inclos’d, that you may demand the Money. If it is not paid, immediately return the Note to Mr. Childs, who should find some more direct manner of paying me, if he values his Credit. We are all well, and I am ever, Your affectionate Father

p.s. If Mr. R. Bache should be come away when this arrives at New York, Mr. Theoph. Bache is requested to demand and receive the Money, with as much more from Mr. Childs as to make up the Sum of One hundred Pounds Proc. which he should have paid me in August last.
