William Temple Franklin to John Vaughan (unpublished)
Passy 25 Feby. 1781.
My dear Friend,

Not having heard from you since mine of the 14th. of last Month (which was in ansr. to yours of the 23 Decr. 80) I begin to fear it did not reach you, & that you think me neglectful. I do not however send you a Copy of it, together with its Contents, for fear I should put you to a useless Expence of Postage; but if you have not recd. the Original, I beg you will let me know it, & I will immediately replace it: which will I hope, regain me your Friendship, if my apparent inattention to your Commands has diminish’d it.—

W T Franklin
