Dr Franklin having at my Request accepted divers Copys of Bills of Exchange in Number Eighteen, duly certified to be faithful Copy’s by Saml Chace, Notary Publick in Providence, N.E. amounting together to the Sum of One thousand seven hundred thirty four Dollars; I do hereby promise that in Case the Originals of sd Bills should be presented for Payment I will make good the same.
