Henri-Maximilien Grand to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
London Pembroke House, Privy Garden Oct 29th. 1783
Dear Sir

I take the liberty to send you a set of Buttons common & coarse enough, but odd & fashionable, to that I join a patent string for the Hatt to prevent its being blown away by the Wind & which they reckon a very good contrivance, to that encore I add a few patterns for Waistcoats for you to choose & me to execute any command.

I think I can also give you Satisfaction for Boots, leather Breeches &ca. having most of Prince of Wales Workmen.

Adieu my good Sir I am truly Your most obt. hble. Servt.

Hy. Grand

I am writing to Paris for Letters for the french Ambassador if you can lett me have one, I shall take it as a particular favour—
