Dear Sir

In an Account Current my Brother William sent me this Spring, and which I forgot to mention when I had the pleasure to see you, I am charged £3.18.2 Sterling or £6..10..3.. Pennsylvania Currency for the Musical Bells I brought out for you when I last came from Europe. This Sum I beg you will pay on my Account to my Brother Mr. John Vaughan. I have no particular Account of these Bells sent me. With the greatest respect and affection I remain Dear Sir Your devoted humble Servant

S. Vaughan has noted that he lent to Dr. Franklin the 78th: Vol of Phil: Transns. 1st Part. S: V: Junr. misses among his Books also the Phil. Transns. for 1785 and the 2nd part for 1787. that is. Volume 75 and 2nd part Vole: 77: but is uncertain with whom he left them when he went to Jamaica. S.V. Junr. leaves it for enquiry on his Return.
