The inclosed Letter from Capt. Truxton is just come to me by Post, and as the Contents may perhaps prove interesting to you I send it by a Special Messenger, and will return any Answer which you may please to Dictate in time for the Post of Monday morning at 10 O’Clock. Capt. Truxton is Universally considered as a very active able Seaman; severe indeed in the Government and Discipline of those under his Command, but I think incapable of any deficiency in the Attention and respect due to you and your Family.
I am with all possible affection, gratitude, and respect, My Dear Sir Your most Faithful and Devoted Humble Servant.
