Dear Sir,

Since my Letter of the 5th; some particular Circumstances have occurr’d, which will render it impossible for me to meet you on the Day Proposed: I hope this will be no inconvenience to you, & that Thursday the 16th: will be equally agreable. If so I will join you about 4 in the Afternoon. at the Blue Anchor, where we will stay that Night, & employ the following Day in visiting the Farm—Should you wish any alteration in this Plan you can inform me of it by the Post, that arrives here on Saturday.
