Please your Excellency

I hope youl pardon me for troubling you with the second letter but having no answer to the first makes me believe that the other has not come into your hands to Inform you of my Real desire to serve my Country at this present time is not i, my power without your assistance to purchass my liberty I can give any Security Demanded not to Depart france but under American Colours as I hear there is two frigats afitting out in Bordeaux in the American servise my security will be answerable for my going on Board of the one or the other being so long Master of Ships out of Philladelphia makes me uneasy to Revenge the Distresses of my Brother and Sisters and my own property which I hope to be paid, for if I had my liberty and once on Board a privateer again your answer and Advise in this is the earnes Request of your Cincere Countrys Friend
