September 24, 1781

resolved that Major Lomagne a late of col: Armand’s Legion, be permitted to retire from the service of the united states of america in wich he has distinguished himself by his military conduct and bravery, his state of health not permitting his continuance in the service. extract of gnl hand’s certificat, wyoming july 1st 1779 I have a satisfaction in testyfying my approbation of the conduct of the officers and soldyiers of col: armand’s corps during the time it has been under my command, Major Lomagne who commanded the corps has been particularly attentive to his duty.
