To Grand & Gautier (unpublished)
Philada. June 7. 1788.
Gentlemen,

I received your obliging Letter of the 20th March, together with the Extract of my Account which I suppose if right. I perceive that only a small Ballance in my favour remains in your hands, viz. £14. 8. 4.. I therefore repeat my Direction to the former House, that as Drafts of mine arrive, a proportionable Part of my Funds in the public Loan be sold to discharge them. With best Wishes for the Success of your new Connection, I have the honour to be, Gentlemen, Your most obedient &ca. (Signed)

B. Franklin

p.s. Please to pay to Mr. Bondfield of Bourdeaux Nine Hundred and Seventy-two Livres, in full discharge of his Account against me for Wine.
