If you Recolect, Some time agone, I was Recommened to your Protection, for my Passage to America, by Cole. [Colonel] Conway, and Doctor Mc Mahon, but at that moment, you had not an ocation, of Rendering me that multiplisity of Service, I am a Neuew to Genl o Sullivan, in the Service of the Congres, and am anctious to joine him, there is Capt. Paul jones, here in l’orient, who Comds [Commands] the hariot friget, [and Sail] of imediatly for America, Sir, your writing a line to mr. jones in my favr favor wd [would] the more induce him to afford my Passage, Sir this I request as an Everlasting favr Resquesting an answr Sir, I have the honr to be with Respect, Your most humble and most obedient, Servat
