Sir,

The Bearers Jean Ricard, and Pierre Joseph Manjot, lately arrived at Nantes in the Cartel from England: say they embarked at Dunkirque on board Capt. Cunningham, & that they were taken in one of his prizes. They have been two Years in Prison, & have not recd the least Portion of the Wages due to them. Understanding that you have an Interest in Capt. Cunninghams Vessel, my Grandfather desires me to send them to you, in order that you may, if possible satisfy their just Demands. I have the honour to be, Sir, Your most obedt & most humble Sert.

My Grandfather has given them 12 Livres each, to assist them in returning to Dunkirque. If their wages are paid them this ought to be deducted.
