Paris banking firm formed by Henri Lavabre and Jean-André Doerner.
The firm formed a syndicate with Jean- Werner Marck, and the mercantile firm of Guillaume Sabatier & Pierre Desprez to establish a commercial house in Petersburg, Virginia (1777). For this purpose, the firm sent John James Doerner (Jean-Jacques Doerner le jeune), brother of Jean-André, and Ulrich Marck, nephew of Jean Werner, to America as its representatives. Franklin furnished them with recommendations.
