Deputy protonotary, then protonotary (1781) of Westmoreland County. Major in Pennsylvania militia; raised two companies of rangers for the defense of the western frontier in the Revolutionary War. Justice of the peace (1783). Agent for the sale of Loyalists’ estates (1783).
