Wife of John Barker Church (alias John Carter).

Visited France with her husband (1783-85). Later resided in England (1785-97), where she hosted and befriended many distinguished Americans.

Daughter of General Philip and Catherine (Van Rensselaer) Schuyler; sister-in-law of Alexander Hamilton. Married John Barker Church (1777); five children.
