Traded with the West Indies in partnership with Beverly Robinson. Member of the New Jersey council (1764-75); member and surveyor general of the Board of Proprietors of East Jersey. Remained neutral in Revolutionary War; suspected of Loyalist sympathies.
Son of John and Janet (Johnstone) Parker of Perth Amboy. Married Gertrude Skinner; ten children.
