Treasurer General (1770). Escorted Benjamin Franklin Bache from Paris to Geneva, where he was sent for his education (1779).

Son of Guillaume-Philibert and Jeanne- Louise (de Tournes) Cramer. Married Catherine Wesselowsky, daughter of Abraham Wesselowsky, Peter the Great’s ambassador to Vienna. Their only son, Gabriel, was a life- long friend of Benjamin Franklin Bache.
