American sailor.

Crew member of the Franklin (1776). Captured by the British and imprisoned, probably in Old Mill Prison near Plymouth. Escaped to France and, with two peers, appealed to Franklin to confirm their American nationality (August 1778). Later served on the Susannah. Captured by the British again and committed to Forton Prison (1781).
