Welsh landowner.
Inherited the Llynon estate, in Llanddeusant, Isle of Anglesey, from his uncle Herbert Jones (1720-67), a naval surgeon who had purchased it with his prize money. Built the Llynon Mill (1775-76). Consulted Franklin about immigrating to America, but apparently remained in Wales. High sheriff (1791).
Son of Rev. Humphrey Jones of Llanfaethu, Wales. Married; had issue.
