Biheron, Marie-Catherine (1719-1786)

Specialist in anatomical wax models.

Franklin met her during his trip to Paris (1767). Sent to Franklin Malesherbes’ speech against the suppression of the parlements (1772).

Made frequent trips to London. Made models of mushrooms for her close friend Barbeu-Dubourg, who named a species for her, described in his work, Le Botaniste français (1767).

Carried to Dubourg some of Franklin’s corrections to the text of the Oeuvres de M. Franklin (1773). Entertained Jonathan Williams during his visit to Paris (1775).
