Settled in Kingston, Pennsylvania (1772). Represented Westmoreland County in the Connecticut General Assembly (1776-80). Probate judge (1776-83). Member of the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania (1787-89). Lieutenant of Luzerne County (1791). Associate judge of county courts (1791- 1809).
Son of Nathan and Ann (Cary) Dennison of Windham, Connecticut. Married Elizabeth Sill (1772); seven children.
