Connecticut minister.
Pastor at East Guilford (now Madison), Connecticut (1733-91). Published several sermons. Read a meteorological paper by Franklin at a meeting of the Royal Society of London (1756). Though over-humble and unimpressive in appearance and manner, he had a vigorous mind and was well read in classics, history, and natural philosophy.
Son of Jonathan and Sarah (Morrison) Todd of New Haven, Connecticut. Educated at Yale (B.A. 1732). Married Elizabeth Couch (1735); no children.
