Social acquaintance of Franklin.
Manufactured silk at her father’s estate on the outskirts of Philadelphia (c. 1768-73). Commissioned Franklin to carry some of the silk to her relative Sarah Forster, a London linen draper, and have it woven into cloth (1772-73).
Daughter of Eden and Elizabeth Haydock, who were Franklin’s neighbors in Philadelphia. Married Samuel Garrigues, Jr., brother of Isaac Garrigues and grandson of Franklin’s friend James Ralph (1773). They had at least two children.
