Mailhe, Jean-Baptiste (1754-1839)

French lawyer and politician.

Began career as an attorney at Toulouse. Made a name for himself as a rabid anti- royalist in the French Revolution. Served as a legislator, public prosecutor of la Haute- Garonne, secretary-general of the prefecture of les Hautes-Pyrénées, and an attorney at the court of appeals in Paris. Exiled to Belgium (1816-30).
